Our mixed bed of asturian tree cabbage and dazzling blue kale mysteriously isn't getting eaten by pigeons!
Fresh veg for the Tatchbury Manor farm shop. Next week the children are back so we'll be using most of our produce in our own kitchen again!
The carrots look like they're keen for the summer holidays to end so they can be eaten!
Achocha! This is a vigorous Andean climber which grows happily outdoors and provides up to 100 fruits per plant. Once cooked they are very similar to green peppers. The spines are soft and disappear with cooking.
So while the summer holidays mean that the Centre doesn't have any school children visiting, it is an opportunity for others to enjoy the produce from the Big Grow garden.... here is a selection from our garden on sale at the Tatchbury Farm Shop.

Today we harvested our crop of sweetcorn. We've had a bumper crop and will freeze them so that the children visiting in the autumn can enjoy them too.
